As we head into Winter Solstice we are reminded to it dial back. We catch up with Family and friend and prepare for the coming year. 

This past year’s hard work, over the spring and summer, kept us on schedule for preparing for the 250 Westport celebrations.

Wainer Woods is part of the Nation’s celebration, in a commemorative way. We’ll highlight the Native Americans role during that time. (More info to follow.)

I want to specifically thank those supporters who through their kindness and the belief in this project they donated over this past year. All the funds go directly to helping and supporting all we have to do with the land.

As a reminder….Wainer Woods is a 50 acre property on Drift Road in Westport MA where the Indigenous American aspects of forestry, farming and foraging can be taught to all who are interested.

Chief Two Running Elk, a descendent of Westport historical figures Paul Cuffe and Michael Wainer is diligently working to revivify the farm that has been in his family since 1799.
